Southwick Opera

Southwick Opera was formed in 1965 and performs two shows a year usually in May and November from grand opera to musicals. We are always looking for new members - not just actors and singers but backstage crew as well. If you'd like to take part please contact out Honorary secretary Elaine Bailey or any committee member. TITANIC

 

TITANIC

Our November production this year will be the 1997 Broadway hit Titanic. Inspired by the discovery of the wreckage of the RMS Titanic in 1985 Maury Yeston composed the music and wrote the lyrics based on the book by Peter Stone. It won five Tony awards, including Best Musical.

Titanic is set on the famous ocean liner which sank on its maiden voyage on April 14 1912 and interweaves the lives of the different types of people that were on board at the time and all about to share the same fate.
